Brief description
=================
This e-mail server sends you an electronic copy of a biosafety document
in
response to a specially formatted e-mail message. The collection of
documents which is used covers various safety aspects of biotechnology,
especially:
* laboratory chemical and biosafety,
* use and release of genetically modified organisms,
* biodiversity issues pertinent to biotechnology.
We collect regulations, regulatory proposals, guidelines, notices,
reviews, news releases, names of institutions and contact persons.
etc.;
the depth of the coverage varies from topic to topic. One of the goals
of
this collection is to help institutions and govermental agencies in
ICGEB
member countries to design biotechnology safety regulations and
guidelines. The collection is _not_ comprehensive; rather it tries
to
provide a starting point for further work.
Please note that the documents were collected from a variety of sources
and many of them lack formal editing, so they do not necessarily represent
ICGEB's opinion.
The documents listed here are also available through the gopher
information server at icgeb.trieste.it.
